Hopie spits hard – Space Case

Hopiespitshard [1]is a female rapper from San Francisco. She independently released her first album Diamond Dame in 2008. After that this talented artist of philippinian origin put her effort into her law degree.  The song Space Case is from her second album Raw Gems that she, also independently, released in 2010 Raw Gems is an experiment. It’s an ode to inventive hip hop, drawing influence from 90s-era underground rap, dubstep and outer space. It’s an album made for a hip hop fan by a hip hop fan, boasting features ranging from anointed up-and-comers to pioneers of independent rap. (quote from her website) The video of Space Case has been directed and produced by the filmmaker David Dutton. It is an outstanding piece of work. Even though it has just merely 9.000 views on YouTube right now it surely will be widely spread as soon as it hits the buzz.
